POSITION SUMMARY
The Helper / Apprentice Glass Installation Technician works alongside experienced technicians to assist with the
installation, repair, and replacement of glass including windows, doors, mirrors, and
shower enclosures. This is a hands-on, entry-level trade position ideal for someone eager to learn a skilled
craft and build a long-term career in the skilled trades. No prior glass experience is required — we will train
the right person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Lead Technicians with:
• Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panels to specification
• Repairing or replacing broken residential and commercial glass
• Installing mirrors, shower doors, and decorative glass products
• Applying caulk, sealants, and glazing compound
• Loading, unloading, and safely transporting glass and materials

General Job Site Duties:
• Prepare work areas and maintain a clean, organized job site
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
• Assist with inventory management, supply runs, and van restocking
• Communicate professionally with customers on job sites
• Complete daily work orders, time logs, and checklists accurately

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record (required)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and scaffolding
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and take direction
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic math skills (measuring, fractions, area calculations)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or a related trade (helpful but not required)
• Familiarity with hand tools: tape measures, levels, drills, utility knives
• Experience in a customer-facing or service industry role
